On Arrival at Madurai airport, meet and assist and transfer to Kodaikanal . Kodaikanal is the most beautiful and popular hill station in Tamil Nadu. It is located in the famous Palani Hills in Western Ghats and is known as the Princess of hill stations. Kodaikanal is situated about 7,200 feet above the sea level. Arrive at Kodaikanal. After breakfast, proceed to Madurai , Check-in your Hotel and proceed for half day sight seeing of Madurai . Madurai is over 2500 years old and is the second largest city of Tamil Nadu. Ancient seat of learning, the city is planned in the shape of a lotus. Visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple. There are four entrances to this amazing temple complex set in six hectares. ome of the stone pillars in the complex with any hard object and feel incredible on hearing seet metal sounds. It is know as musical pillars. The total number of pillars in the temple is a staggering one thousand. Sight seeing inclusive of Thirumalai Nayak palace , Gandhi Museum and flower market Later in the evening, you are taken to the special religious night ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple. Breakfast at Hotel and proceed to Rameshwaram Rameswaram - The island of Rameshwaram spreads out over a 56 km swell with gentle sand dunes, embellished with the delicacy of casuarina trees and stark palms. This is a sacred place for Hindus since according to Ramayana, this is where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to absolve himself of the sin of killing Ravana. A dip into the sacred waters of the Agni theertham which was calmed by Rama is a must for Hindus. Evening Temple visit and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari and on arrival check in at your hotel. After noon visit Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial etc. Also watch the sunset if weather permits. Overnight at Hotel
